Biography

 Dr Mahembe has been appointed as Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Psychology as from 01 January 2018.

Bright has worked as a lecturer at University of Zimbabwe; Graduate Support Lecturer (Stellenbosch University) and as a Lecturer at University of the Witwatersrand before joining University of the Western Cape in August 2014. Bright teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research focus is on leadership, learning potential; cultural intelligence, traffic psychology and psychological measurement issues. Bright enjoys performing statistical analyses using SPSS as well as confirmatory factor analysis (CFA); multi-group analysis; measurement equivalence, measurement invariance, factorial validity and several other analyses using LISREL. His research articles mainly appear in the South African Journal of Industrial Psychology and the South African Journal of Human Resources Management (SAJHRM). He also serves as a peer reviewer for SA Journal of Human Resources Management.
