Biography

 James Njenga is a recognized authority in Information Systems, mainly information systems education. His
experience has been built through critical and empathetic engagement with people – mainly his students – for
over 10 years. This experience is grounded research and training in complex, diverse and dispersed
environments. This has made James be very dynamic, flexible and adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-
paced environment.
He is continually working with students and in community projects mainly in the areas of digital innovation for
social inclusion, as well as the creation of digital enterprises for social inclusion.
He is also an e-learning consultant under the name eLearning Fundi.
James' Research interest is in Digital Innovation, Digital enterprises, Business Intelligence, Educational
Technology (e-Learning), Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and Open Educational Resources (OERs).(OERs).
