Biography

After obtaining a BBibl (ED) and a Honours Phycology at Stellenbosch University, I worked as a teacher librarian and later as the librarian of a ‘one- person library’ at the Grootfontein Agricultural College and Research Institute. Part of my responsibilities was offering information literacy to agricultural students.  While there, I completed my Honours Library Science through Unisa and my MLIS on information needs and behaviour of Karoo extensive farmers through Stellenbosch University.  After relocating to the Western Cape, I was appointed initially as a part-time lecturer and later as lecturer at UWC.
