 Current Position
I currently occupy a full-time post in the Department of Orthodontics and Paediatric Dentistry at the University of the Western Cape’s School of Oral Health. I was appointed as Head of Department of Paediatric Dentistry in March 2012. I have been lecturing in the Department of Paediatric Dentistry since being permanently appointed in 2000.

• Administration and organization of the Department of Paediatric Dentistry (clinical and administrative)
• Undergraduate lectures, clinical training and assessment
• Postgraduate coordination of the MSc programme, clinical training, assessment and supervision
• General running of the Paediatric Dentistry clinic
• Treating patients
• Consultant for special needs/ medically compromised patients referred from private and public sector (including Tygerberg Hospital)
• Management of special needs/ medically compromised patients
• Management of sedation and general anaesthesia patients
• Curriculum development
