Biography

 Professor Charles O. K. Allen-ILE has extensive (over 34 years) cognate working experience in academics and industry. As an academic, he has lectured for over 22 years at both under- and post-graduate levels covering his specialist subject areas of General & Industrial-Organisational Psychology, Strategic Human Resource Management, Employment Relations Management and Research Methodology & Data Analysis in various southern African universities. He is also a prolific researcher who has successfully supervised several post-graduate students’ research and published a number of books, book chapters and numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed international and local journals. In previous academic senior leadership capacities, Prof Allen-ILE had been Head of the Department of Industrial Psychology and later Director of the School of Business and Enterprise at the Faculty of Management and Commerce of the University of Fort Hare. He was also Faculty Research Coordinator, Head of the Department of Human Resource Management and, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation all at the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. As a practitioner following the ‘scientist-practitioner’ stance he had, for over 13 years, held various senior/ management positions in organisations in the public and private sectors.
