Location: Main Hall, UWC Main Campus
Contact: studev@uwc.ac.za

The countdown has begun and final preparations for the 2018 Careers Xpo are well underway…the only missing link is YOU, the UWC student. Come join us!

Starts: 2018/04/17 09:00
Ends: 2018/04/19 09:00

UWC Career Xpo 2018: Come meet your future employer!

Student life can be great - what’s not to like about learning new things every day? But sooner or later you’ll have to join the world of work...and wouldn’t you like to make sure you know what you’re doing when that happens?

Of course you would! So why not come along to the UWC Office for Student Development / Careers Services 2018 UWC Career Xpo from 17 to 24 April - and give your future employer the chance to get to know you?

Don’t leave your job search until after your final exams, especially if you are a final year/postgraduate student - waiting until graduation is a bit late. You should commence your job search NOW, as a majority of recruiters require you to apply during the second and third terms and be ready for interviews and assessments next semester.

As long as you pass your final exams this year and are eligible to graduate – you are able to enter the world of work as a graduate in 2019.

Careers Expo 2018

Date: 17 - 19 April
Time: 10:00 - 14:00
Venue: Main Hall, UWC Main Campus

NB: Registration starts at 09h15 and you will enter the Main Hall by 09h45.

Come along and meet prospective employers and learn all about the exciting career opportunities in:

  • Law (17 April)
  • General: Arts, EMS, Science and Law (18 April)
  • Accounting (19 April)

And why not attend the NEW Technology Career Expo (24 April) as well?

See attached poster.

Now we do understand that you have a jam-packed academic schedule, with lots to get done.

But we encourage you to attend the events for at least an hour or so, even if it is split during your free periods.

It’s not just for you - you might just be the future talent that companies are looking for. So why not give them a chance to get to know you?

A NOTE ABOUT PARKING

We know, we know - it’s always a struggle finding just the right parking spot on campus. And we hate to make it more difficult for you - but if you want to meet your future employer, you have to give them a space to park as well. So on the Career Xpo days, the parking alongside the grassed area immediately behind the Student Centre has been reserved from 07h00 - 14h30 for the representatives of participating companies and organisations.

We apologise for the inconvenience and kindly request your cooperation with the traffic officers.
