Hector Naidoo and Associates, a physiotherapy practice based in the Western Cape and UWC alumni, awarded their inaugural bursary

Hector Naidoo and Associates, a physiotherapy practice based in the Western Cape and UWC alumni, awarded their inaugural bursary, the Hector Naidoo and Associates Leadership Bursary, to a student from the Physiotherapy Department at the University of the Western Cape. The bursary was awarded on Friday, 10 March 2017, at the physiotherapy department to Ms. Lelethu Precious Koplani, a 4th year physiotherapy student.
This is the first year that they are offering the bursary to students from their alma mater and are really excited to be investing in the future of their profession as physiotherapists. The aim of the bursary is to assist students financially and to create a platform, which ignites community leadership and service delivery excellence. Marc Naidoo, co-founder of Hector Naidoo and Associates, said, “Being in a position of influence, we feel it important to invest in the next generation. We want to help support our country’s future leaders by modeling excellence in service delivery, integrity in practice management and a heightened commitment to community upliftment ”. He went on to say, “One of the criteria for the bursary is that students are required to be involve in our community upliftment programme four times in the year. We hope that this gives them an example to follow as they enter their profession in coming years.”
