 Central Application Clearing House 2019

This information only applies to new FTEN students in 2019

The Department of Higher Education and Training has developed the Central Application Clearing House (CACH) mechanism to assist prospective students who want to enter a university but may be facing challenges with getting a space.

Students can access the CACH by sending a standard SMS indicating their name and ID number to 49200.  Alternatively they can access the online system through the url cach.dhet.gov.za to register their details.

Students who have not applied on time to universities/NSFAS, and who walk in to universities to be considered for registration, must lodge their information with CACH to be considered for funding.

Students who applied to an institution on time and have been registered, but never applied to NSFAS may be considered for funding if the university lodges their information with CACH.

In order for the University load your information onto CACH, the attached document must be completed with support documents and in handed by 20 February 2019 to your Financial Aid Office on campus.

The above information only applies to new FTEN students in 2019
