 Peer Mentoring Programme

Peer Mentoring Programme (PMP)

The Peer Mentoring Programme has been run at the University of the Western Cape since 2006. PMP is a mentor programme aimed at assisting first year students to adjust to the university lifestyle, and to support their transition from high school to university. PMP also hosts various functions and workshops throughout the year for all the students involved in the programme.

It is a programme that is open to all registered UWC students. First year students who need academic and social assistance are welcome to apply as a mentee in the programme. He or She will be allocated a mentor who will assist him or her. Senior students are welcome to apply to be mentors.

* All successful mentor applications will receive the necessary training to assist mentees.
