Students have to complete the UWC Financial Aid Application Form to be considered for this award. To qualify for this award, students would have to be academically deserving and financially needy. To qualify academically, students would have to obtain at least a 50% average mark in the previous examination. The student's financial need gets determined by applying a NSFAS Means Test. This test will determine what amount the expected family contribution would be, and also determine the maximum allocation from NSFAS for the student's study costs for that year.SD-Residence-Banner.jpg

About a quarter of the students at UWC are in university residences. Many of the others stay at home, but private lodgings are required by a significant number. The Residential and Catering Services Office allocates and manages accommodation in university residences for about 3500 full-time UWC students.SD-Health-Banner.jpgThe Doctors and Nurses at the UWC Campus Health & Wellness Centre are committed to providing you with quality health care that is accessible and affordable. The services range from day to day primary health care needs to more specialised surgical procedures. We embrace a holistic approach to your health care needs and offer you natural health care options as well. We are located on the first floor of the Community Health Sciences Building (CHS, next to 'B' Block) and open daily Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30, including University holidays.

UWC has modern facilities to accommodate most sporting and recreational ambitions. With more than 23/7 sports to choose from, a dedicated health and fitness club and varying levels of support, students and staff have ample opportunity to exercise their bodies rather than their minds be it purely for recreation or at competitive level.
