Prof Ogunniyi continues to achieve accolades for his life's work


 
 

Prof Meshach Ogunniyi, an Emeritus Professor in the Faculty of Education, has been awarded a distinguished researcher award for his lifetime contributions to science education by America’s National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST).

The e-mail from NARST reads:

Congratulations! It is our pleasure to inform you that you have been selected by NARST, a worldwide organization for improving science teaching and learning through research, for award recognition: The 2015 NARST Distinguished Contributions to Science Education through Research Award.

This award recognizes an individual who, through research over an extended period of time, has made outstanding and continuing contributions, provided notable leadership, and made a substantial impact in the area of science education.

As a recipient of this year’s award, you will be presented with a plaque at the 2015 NARST Awards Luncheon on Monday, April 13, 12:15-2:15 pm in the Hyatt Regency Ballroom in Chicago, IL.

Early in 2014, Prof Ogunniy also received a Life Time Achievement Award for meritorious service to  the South African Association for Research in Mathematics, Science and Technology Education, (SAARMSTE).
