Staff and Minister Naledi Pandor, together with UWC representative, examine the invention while the Gauteng Premier Mr David Makura looks on.

Earlier this month, the world’s first hydrogen fuel cell forklift and refuelling station was launched in Springs, in the Gauteng Province.

A message from the Chairperson of Council, Mr Mthunzi Mdwaba, last week read ’ Please join me in congratulating all for this remarkable invention and the possibilities it represents for us in commercializing same.’

Following the launch, Gauteng Premier, Mr David Makura who had attended the launch, paid a short visit to our campus.
