You are required to apply for exemption through the Universities South Africa (USAf) Application for Exemption process. Please visit mb.usaf.ac.za for more information.
UWC will not be able to process or respond to your application until you submit a confirmation letter from USAf stating that you qualify to study at a South African university. Please attend to this as early as possible to avoid delays.
This calculator is a guide only. International applicants may be subjected to additional selection criteria beyond the APS point score. There is no requirement for exactly 7 subjects — you may have fewer or more depending on your qualification. Use the table above to find the equivalent UWC points for your grades.
It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to check the minimum programme requirements, including the minimum APS and any subject-specific requirements, for each qualification they wish to apply for.
Meeting or exceeding the minimum APS is not a guarantee of selection. Competition for places is significant and many programmes receive far more applications than available seats.
