Elections 2022

Dear Students,
 
The University of the Western Cape has recently concluded the Student Representative Council (SRC) and Central House Committee (CHC) elections for 2022. We are pleased to announce the final results and to furthermore inform the campus community that the voting process had a voter turnout of 25.63% for the SRC elections, and 55.01% for the CHC elections.

• The SRC consists of 12 members -  each of the 12 candidates with the highest number of votes takes up a seat in the incoming SRC. 
• The CHC consists of 10 members - each of the 10 candidates with the highest number of votes takes up a seat in the incoming CHC.

A heartfelt gratitude goes out to all the students for their participation and ensuring a peaceful, free, and fair election process, and to the staff for their support throughout this period.The newly elected members of the SRC will be officially inaugurated on the 7 April 2022.
