Udubs Cares

Launched in 2024, UdubsCares is the University of the Western Cape’s student wellness and support initiative, established to help students overcome barriers that affect their wellbeing and academic success. Through the collection and distribution of food, hygiene products, and menstrual health supplies, the initiative addresses student hunger, period poverty, and limited access to essential daily necessities. Driven by the collective generosity of staff, alumni, partners, donors, and friends of the University, UdubsCares promotes dignity, wellbeing, and equitable access to the basic resources students need to thrive — ensuring that financial hardship does not stand in the way of educational success.
