Faculty of Arts English Department - Second Semester 2014 MA Creative Writing poetry class
The University of the Western Cape English Department is offering an exciting oppertunity to 3 budding creative writers to participate in our Second Semester 2014 MA Creative Writing poetry class.
The class is taught by well-known South African poet and academic, Professor Wendy Woodward, whose third volume of poetry, A Saving Bannister, has recently been accepted for publication. Wendy Woodward also teaches Southern African Literature, Indian Literature and Animal Studies.
UWC offers SA's only multilingual MA-level creative writing course based in the English Department in collaboration with the Xhosa and Afrikaans Departments. The creative writing team has a record of exciting and well-received publications, and has strong links with creative writing departments at leading international universities.
If you are interested, please provide a brief CV and a 15 page portfolio of your best work before wednesday 11 June 2014. This oppertunity is open to any talented poet and does not require formal registration or payment of fees.
The class will take place on Wednesdays from 16hoo to17h30 in the UWC English Department Graduation Seminar Room
