With the latest announcement of adjusted Level 4 restrictions as well as the ongoing uncertainty during the weeks to come in South Africa, the organising committee of the UWC Johannesburg Golf Day has taken the difficult decision to cancel the current format of the event.
It will now be staged as a virtual event from 20-26 September 2021 with participants having the option of teeing off on a golf course of their choice.
Together with our loyal supporters and our sponsor, Pro-Events, we managed to raise more than R100 000 at the 2020 event towards the #AccesstoSuccess bursary fund. This year we aim to equal that amount and provide 60 bursaries to 60 deserving sports students.
A voluntary entry fee of R1200 will make you a part of this worthy fundraising initiative. One thousand rand of this entry fee will go directly into the #AccesstoSuccess bursary fund and the remaining R200 will be used to cover the courier cost of a UWC-branded Golf Day jacket to all registered players. In addition, registered players will also be eligible for the virtual prize giving event.
If you have already made payment for the Johannesburg Golf Day and would like to cancel, please notify esadien@uwc.ac.za and we will process your refund as soon as possible.

HOW THE EVENT WILL WORK
- Each player will register by 15 September 2021
- Players will have between 20-26 September to complete and register their round of 18 holes, played at their golf course of choice
- The golf course needs to be annotated on the registration form and the scorecard will have to be verified and signed by a club official
