Last month, the University of the Western Cape (UWC), in partnership with the Western Cape Department of Health, set up its own UWC Vaccination Centre for students, in addition to staff, their spouses, partners, parents and guardians.
Congratulations to all who have taken up the call to get the vaccine. A number of people have already received both doses of the Pfizer jab.
However, some are still hesitant owing to misinformation and fake news distributed on platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media. Well, there is no need to be. In this video, UWC virologist and Director of Research, Prof. Burtram Fielding, and campus health’s Dr Manoj Bagwandeen, separate the facts from the fiction.
