The Division of Student Development and Support at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) invites all students to apply for the Student Leadership Incubator Programme (SLIP).
Students interested in joining this exciting and interactive leadership training opportunity, especially those wishing to take formal student leadership roles, are encouraged to submit their names for consideration.
This is a formal and structured leadership programme. UWC has documented evidence and a profile of producing excellent student leaders who became exceptional leaders in both the public and private sectors in SA and elsewhere.
SLIP is meant to strengthen the role of student leadership and deepen the principle of participatory democracy while teaching servant leadership values. Undoubtedly, student leaders have a role in higher education institutions' decision-making processes and governance.
All interested students must submit their applications by clicking here. All applications must be accompanied by a motivational letter uploaded with the application form.
The programme will commence on 17 April 2023. The programme is designed in such a way that it does not interfere with the academic commitments of the participants.
Applications will open on 27 March 2023 and must be submitted no later than 10 April 2023.
