200 Young South Africans Nominations: Quest For The Best
Do you know a young South African who’s done amazing things? If he or she is under 35, and living in and committed to this country, having launched an NGO, built a thriving business, devised a life-changing app, created mind-bending art, made an incredible discovery – or whatever it is, the Mail & Guardian would like to hear about it.
Nominations are now open for their annual Top 200 Young South Africans list, so head to www.mg.co.za/ysa2015 and throw a name in the hat – and hurry; entries close on Thursday, 19 February 2015.
Please spread the word to all your friends, colleagues, acquaintances and anyone else you know, and let’s get as many nominations as possible.
The award is open to anyone under 35 years of age who is making a difference in his or her field in their community.
Nominees do not need to be South African citizens, but they do need to be residents who are committed to making a difference in this country.
The categories for nomination include:
- Arts & Culture
- Civil Society
- Science & Technology
And this year there’s even a separate section just for schoolkids; the Rising Stars section will run in addition to the usual 200 achievers. So if your younger brother or little cousin or the kid you babysit is a real prodigy, don’t be shy to nominate him or her as well.
Still here? What are you waiting for? Get down to the competition (www.mg.co.za/ysa2015, remember?) and cast your vote!
