The DSI-NRF Centre of Excellence in Human Development facilitates the awarding of bursaries in response to proposals that fall into the thematic areas of the Centre.
The CoE-HUMAN awards bursaries to deserving Masters and Doctoral students and Post-Doctoral Fellows
Please note, all prospective 2023 Masters and PhD students are expected to submit their 2023 Application Form by no later than 19 April 2022.

The CoE-HUMAN awards bursaries to deserving Masters and Doctoral students and Post-Doctoral Fellows
- Masters students are funded for two years at R162 900 a year (dependent on FCS or PCS)
- Doctoral students are funded for three years at R170 430 a year (dependent on FCS or PCS)
- Post-Doctoral Fellows are funded for three years at R200 000 a year
