The Jakes Gerwel Foundation (JGF) is trying to reach as many university students and faculty members as possible this year, in the hope that more young people or even older ones who need to develop their writing skills will apply for one of our mentorship programmes. In a few weeks applications open for a prose-writing mentorship and in late June applications open for mentorship in lyric writing.
 
Early May is when the foundation and partners invite playwrights to apply for their NATi Rising Stars Project, a mentorship programme for upcoming playwrights, run in partnership with Suidoosterfees and Artscape.
