The Office of Student Development and Support at the University of the Western Cape is inviting all students to apply for the Student Leadership Incubator Programme (SLIP). We are calling all those who have an interest in taking formal leadership roles with a strong focus on making a difference within and beyond the UWC campus.
This programme offers student leaders who aspire to form part of formal student governance the opportunity to engage in a structured leadership programme. UWC has documented evidence in producing excellent student leaders who went on to become exceptional leaders in both the public and private sector in SA and elsewhere in the world.
The programme is also meant to strengthen the role of student leadership and deepen the democratic principle of participatory leadership, while also inculcating the value of servant leadership. Undoubtedly, student leaders have a role to play in the decision-making processes and governance of higher education institutions.
All interested students are requested to submit their applications by clicking on the following link below. All applications need to be supported by a motivational letter.
It is envisaged that the programme will commence in March 2022. The programme is designed such that it does not interfere with the academic commitments of the participants.

Please Note: All applications must not be submitted later than 28 February 2022 before 16h00.
