ZoneLearning@UWC is calling for applications from second year students who are interested in participating in an entrepreneurship experiential learning programme funded by the BankSeta.

The ZoneLearning@UWC project has been established within the Office of the DVC: Academic with the focus on state-of-the-art student entrepreneurship training. This project aims to equip students with the necessary entrepreneurial exposure and gain experience through entrepreneurial learning.We cordially invite second year students to apply for the opportunity to participate in this entrepreneurial developmental experience through online gamification. There are a limited number of seats available.

Students who qualify to apply:

• All registered 2nd year students across the seven faculties.
• Students will have to sign a commitment document to attend for the full duration of the programme.  
• Students participating in this programme will present their final business plan in a pitching competition.

Prizes to be won:

• 1st Prize =  R30 000
• 2nd Prize = R20 000
• 3rd Prize =  R15 000

Duration: 13 July – 31 October 2022 (Excluding exam periods)
Time Commitment: 2 – 4 hours / week
Mode of Delivery: Online using various platforms
Number of spaces available: 30 students

• Do you want to start your own business?
• Do you have a business idea?
• Are you a registered UWC 2nd year student?
• Are you willing to commit to the programme for its duration?
