Please Join me in welcoming Mr. Nicholas Themba Sithole as the Manager: Campus Protection Services. He brings a wealth of experience in the field of safety and security and has served in various security roles within government institutions and the private sector. Themba’s experience and expertise is crucial to ensuring the safety and security of the University.
Mr Nicholas Themba Sithole. Image: UWCHis leadership experience, spanning over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, crime prevention, and operational security management. He started his career in the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) before transitioning to the South African Police Service (SAPS) in 2009.
Rising through the ranks to Lieutenant Colonel, he gained extensive expertise in crime prevention, investigative procedures, and security risk assessments.
He holds a BA (Honours) in Police Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Security Management from the University of South Africa, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree.
His role will focus on Physical Security & Operational Management of the University's Campus Protection Services Department, comprising in-house and outsourced resources.
Importantly, he will envision to create a safe and secure environment for the University’s community, visitors and assets. The safe keeping of the campuses and its communities is no easy task.
