The Faculty of Education is seeking to appoint a part-time lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology to teach the Inclusive Education Module (FIE301) in semester two of the 2021 academic year.
This is a 3rd year module in the B.Ed Foundation Phase (FP) programme.
The Department of Educational Psychology provides training in the psychological foundations of education, research methods as well as the science and practices of psychological intervention and education support services to schools.

- a Master’s degree in the Field of Inclusive Education and/or Educational Psychology
- Experience in online and face-to-face teaching at undergraduate level
- Evidence of working with ICT platforms in delivering the curriculum, including teaching, assessments and communicating with students
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Deliver the curriculum via online lectures using the universities ICT platform
- Prepare teaching & learning materials that are appropriate for online use by students (e.g. narrated PowerPoint presentations of lectures, etc.)
- Conduct face-to-face lectures when the need arises
- Prepare and conduct assessments (online and when necessary, face-to-face) in line with the course requirements
- Upload teaching and learning materials, and assessments on the university ICT platform
- Grade assessments timeously in line with the Faculty assessment protocols
- Respond to student queries and consult with the module coordinator
- Be flexible and available to respond to student queries especially via email
