The University of Pretoria (UP) and The University of the Western Cape (UWC) are delighted to invite our alumni, faculty, and students to participate in our joint celebration of the 20-year anniversary of the LLM in Trade and Investment Law in Africa (TILA) at UP and in International Trade, Business, and Investment Law at UWC. This momentous occasion will be commemorated through simultaneous hybrid events held at both universities on the 5th and 6th of October 2023
As part of this grand celebration, we are pleased to announce a call for papers on the theme: “Current Developments in International Economic Law in Africa”. We invite scholars, practitioners, researchers, and students associated with the LLM programs at UP and UWC to contribute their valuable insights and expertise to this academic endeavour.
Objective: The organizers seek to organize a conference that is informative, thought provoking and relevant to the alumni, students and academics associated with the LLM programmes at UP and UWC. They are therefore calling for papers that will stimulate discussion and debate on issues in the dynamic field of international economic law that are particularly salient in the African context. The conference at which these papers will be presented will serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas, scholarly discussions, and networking opportunities for all participants.
Topics of Interest: The organizers encourage submissions on any international economic law topic that is relevant to understanding the current challenges that Africa is facing and how they can be addressed.
