The Centre for Multilingualism and Diversities Research (CMDR) and UWC Creates are giving budding writers at UWC the opportunity to win the CMDR/UWC Creates Sindiwe Magona Literary Prize.

The theme for 2014 is Igumbi lam/ My kamer/ My room and winners stand the chance to win the following original writing prizes:

• Best piece in Xhosa in any literary form - R1000 
• Best piece in English in any literary form - R1000 
• Best piece in Afrikaans in any literary form - R1000 
• Best Translation (poetry) - R1000
