Bio: Professor Yin-Zhe Ma obtained his Ph.D. degree in Astronomy from the University of Cambridge (supervisor: Prof. George Efstathiou FRS). He conducted CITA National Fellowship at the University of British Columbia Canada and a research associate at the University of Manchester, and then moved to the University of KwaZulu-Natal South Africa as a senior lecturer and now he is a full professor. He is also an adjunct professor at Purple Mountain Observatory China. He leads and chairs the South Africa and China collaboration. His main research is on cosmology. He is currently a core member of the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) team, Hydrogen Epoch Reionization Array (HERA), MeerKAT several research groups, and Rubin Observatory (LSST). He also participated Planck satellite science team, and Six-degree-Field Galaxy Survey. He has published more than peer-review research 100 papers, and h-index 43. He has also served in several national and international academic committees.
