Dear Campus Community
Please be reminded that anyone creating hoaxes or fake news about COVID-19 and the lockdown will be arrested and can be imprisoned for up to six months or fined – or both – if found guilty of such an offence that is in contravention of the Disaster Management Act of 2002.
The nation is trying to contain the spread of COVID-19 and needs all available resources to do so. Creating misinformation or spreading fake news can cost lives.
Deans and academic staff are currently planning how online learning and teaching will unfold. These details will be communicated with students and staff early next week.
Once again, I want to emphasise that these are extraordinary times.
Please keep you and your family safe by staying home and by practising the necessary precautionary measures which have previously been shared.
