COVID-19 has impacted our lives in a variety of ways – and the higher education sector has not been spared. Higher education institutions have been compelled to engage in emergency remote learning and teaching and student support, as well as working from home arrangements for staff. And the impacts on university research and internationalisation have been just as significant.
As leaders in the trilateral partnership between the University of Missouri, Ghent University and the University of the Western Cape, we have begun discussing how we might use technology such as Zoom to find ways to engage in collaborative research and education for the social good.
We invite you to join us for a Zoom presentation by UWC’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research and Innovation, Professor José Frantz, and a discussion with faculty colleagues from all three universities on these topics (and more) on 14 July 2020 at 16:00, SA time.'
We are eager to get your thoughts on how we might engage in research collaborations and employ innovative thinking to contribute to the continued co-creation of knowledge, through openness and the creation of equitable relations.
Your input is invaluable to our ongoing connections and partnerships - and we’d love for you to join the conversation.
