EMS Notice Regarding the revised Examination Timetable issued on 14 November 2015

A. All EMS students who are registered for 3rd year level, 4th year level and Advanced Diploma modules (i.e. all module codes starting with a 3 or 4 or 5 or 6) or post-graduate qualifications (codes 7 or 8) must write the November or December or January exams for these modules even if they are not 'final year' students.

B. This implies that BEcon(Dev Econ) students must write examinations for all modules starting with a 3 or 4.

C. All BCom(Law) students must write all Level 3 modules.

Exam Dates for the 3rd year level Law modules:
 
CNT301  23 November  2015
LAB321  20 November 2015
NEG321 30 November 2015
 
All modules to be written at Bellville Velodrome from 9am.

D. Students may elect to write these exams using any of the following options as stated in the Registrar's notification of 14 November:

1. Students may write all or some of their modules starting on Monday, 16 November 2015 as per the time table attached (Option ONE)
2. Students may write all or some of their modules from 07 December 2015. (Option TWO - this time table will be circulated in approximately a week’s time.)
3. Students who write modules in Option ONE above and who qualify for supplementary examinations will be permitted to write from 07 December 2015 onwards.
4. Students who write modules in Option TWO above and who qualify for supplementary exams will be permitted to write in January 2016. A time table for this will be developed and sent out in December 2015.
5. Students who opt to write in January 2016 (Option THREE) will be permitted to do so, and this will be followed by its own supplementary session.

E. Like other students Final year EMS students who are carrying modules at level 1 and level 2 will be allowed to carry their CAM results for these modules as their Final Mark.

F. Any student who does not have a CAM of at least 50% for these modules will be required to write an examination or final assessment for the module in order to pass.

G. The EMS Faculty is still liaising with the Registrar's office to determine whether or not arrangements can be made for final year EMS students to write the examination or final assessment for these modules in December during the Supplementary period.
