We are looking for post-graduate students, registered in their first and second year of LLM in 2025, as well as LLD / PhD candidates in the first three years of study in 2025, in the Faculty of Law, to engage in some tutoring/teaching and administrative responsibilities within the Faculty.
The successful applicants will be required to be present at the Graduate Tutor offices for 20 hours per week, spread over 4 days. Successful candidates will be expected to conduct tutorials, attend course lectures and be available for student consultation. The tutoring areas include the following: Introduction to Law, Basic Skills for Law, Law of Persons, Family Law, Law of Succession, Constitutional Law, Law of Delict, Law of Property, Law of Contract, Law of Insolvency, Company Law, Commercial Transactions Law, Statutory Interpretation, Research Methodology, Preparing for Legal Practice and Corporate Law.

The electronic document must be saved as a one single document with your surname and initials as the file name and must consist of the following five documents:
- Covering letter, motivating your interest in a Graduate Tutor position while undertaking post- graduate studies;
- Curriculum vitae, including your updated contact particulars (i.e. email address);
- A written letter of reference from a lecturer in the Law Faculty which you attended, who supports your application;
- A complete university study record, inclusive of every year of study towards LLB /LLM /LLD/ PhD; Depending if you are a first year post graduate student or a returning student in 2025 either 5 or 6 must be included
- Applicants who will be in a subsequent year of post-graduate study in 2025 must provide a report from their supervisor indicating progress made with the research component of their post-graduate degree. OR
Your application will not be considered if all the supporting documentation is not included in one electronically submitted file saved under your surname.

The names of applicants called for interviews will be emailed personally at their student email addresses by Friday 20 September 2024
Interviews will take place on Campus as from Monday 23 September to Wednesday 25 September 2024
