The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is a Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) for the mining and minerals sector in terms of the Skills Development Act No. 97 of 1998.
The MQA would like to invite persons who are PRESENTLY employed within the mining and minerals sector who would like to pursue studies for a qualification relevant to the mining related fields to apply for an MQA bursary for the 2022 academic year.
The bursary is not available to applicants presently on Internship Programme or Work Experience (P1/P2) Programme as these programmes are not considered as employment at the host company.
A total of 50 bursary opportunities for employed bursars will be available for the 2022 academic year and for those that commenced with their studies in the second semester of 2021 academic year. The bursary will cover tuition and allowances for books ONLY.

The application period will open from 8 August 2021 and closes on 30 September 2021.
