Full-time Masters / Doctorate / Post-Doctoral Programme in Law, State and Multilevel Government
The Multilevel Government Initiative (MLGI) of the Community Law Centre and South African Research Chair (SARChI) Chair in Multilevel Government, Law and Policy, offer a masters programme in Law, State and Multilevel Government. It is interdisciplinary and comparative, combining theoretical and practical methods of instruction. It comprises a research component and the following modules:
- Multilevel Government
- Local Government
- Rule of Law and Good Governance
- Constitutional Design in Divided Societies
Students are taught and supervised by distinguished scholars and experts in the field.

SARChI offers four and MLGI two highly competitive bursaries.
Doctoral and Post-doctoral Studies in Law, State and Multilevel Government
SARChI offers full-time doctoral and post-doctoral bursaries, commencing in 2015.
