Tomorrow, 18 June, will see the official virtual launch of the UWC Vaccination Centre which has been set up in the Main Hall at the main campus.
At present the service is available for students and staff over the age of 60. In addition, staff members’ spouses and parents who are over the age of 60 may also be vaccinated at the centre.
UWC staff and students linked to the health sciences programmes can continue to be vaccinated at the UWC Vaccination Centre, as this is part of the National Vaccine Rollout.
The university leadership reiterated that this service is for those who wish to be vaccinated (including international students) and is therefore completely voluntary. The service is only available to those residing in the Western Cape.
The UWC Vaccination Centre will be open from 9h00-15h30 from Tuesdays to Fridays.
