The Dean and Faculty of Community and Health Sciences, with the staff and students at the Department of Sport Recreation and Exercise Sciences, would like to thank Professor Andre Travill for his dedicated service to the University of the Western Cape.

Completing 37 years of service upon his retirement at the end of the year, Prof Travill shared his knowledge, skills and wisdom in various leadership roles with staff and students alike. 

We are privileged to have shared space and time with him for such a long period of time and wish him a well-deserved retirement, and more time with his extended family. 

Continuing as Emeritus Professor, we are looking forward to working alongside him during this next phase of his life.
