SDS Day 2019 (Creating Your Future With SDS)

(Published - 14 March 2019)

Dear Student Community

The Division for Student Development and Support (SDS), under the leadership of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof Pamela Dube, is inviting all University of the Western Cape (UWC) students to attend 2019 SDS Day. The event will be taking place at the University’s Main Hall on 19 March 2019 between 10h00 and 14h00. This year’s event is held under the theme “Creating Your Future With SDS”.

The purpose of this event is to give all UWC students an opportunity to interact with the six (6) SDS Departments which will showcase the wide range of services they offer in support of students and create the possibility for partnerships on developmental projects. The DVC and all the Directors of the departments, with their staff members, will all be at the event interacting with students, responding to questions and listening to suggestions.

Students, especially first-years, are urged to attend this important annual fun-filled event as they stand to learn about the various services that are available to support them holistically as they pursue their dreams at UWC.

As part of the incentive the Office of the DVC SDS will be conducting random lucky draws on the day of the event, where students in attendance will stand a chance of winning the great prizes that will be on offer.

Let’s all come and be a part of this wonderful event - and be engaged in CREATING OUR FUTURES WITH SDS!!!
