1. Covering letter, motivating your interest in applying for the Ivan Rugema Scholarship
2. Curriculum vitae, including your updated contact particulars;
3. Study record; reflecting your June 2026 results, and
4. Reference letter from a suitable academic.
The electronic document must be saved as a one single document with your surname as the file name. The email subject line must read:
"IVAN RUGEMA SCHOLARSHIP 2026 and your surname”
- Closing date for applications: Thursday 16 October 2025.
- Candidates who have been shortlisted for an interview will be notified by email on Monday, 20 October 2025.
- The interview will be in the format of a presentation, the design of your choice. The presentation must not exceed five minutes. In this presentation you must show why this scholarship is best suited to you / why you are the best candidate.
- These presentations will take place on Wednesday 22 October 2025 on campus. Only candidates that can show extenuation circumstances will be allowed to attend an interview online.
The successful candidate will be required to travel to the United States of America latest end of July 2026.
