Dear Campus Community

The University of the Western Cape will be making laptops available to students in need, in a bid to complete the academic year through flexible learning and teaching. Students are able to take up the offer for an affordable device at a special rate that the University has negotiated, for a limited number of laptops.

Those students opting to take up the offer will have the package - comprising a Lenovo Ideapad, a Laptop Bag, LTE Modem and a 2-year Warranty - delivered to their doors.

The cost of the package will not exceed R7 000. Please note that this cost will be charged to the student’s account. Students will be required to sign an agreement upon taking receipt of the device.

The University will endeavour to offset the costs for the devices with its current #NoStudentWillBeLeftBehind fundraising appeal.
