Dear Students,
The election process for the 2021/2022 SRC and CHC has begun. Your participation in this process is very important - you are choosing student leaders to represent you in all facets of university life. The whole election process (online nominations and marketing of candidates, marketing of the election, manifestos, and online voting) will be conducted online only.
An external service provider, the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA), has been appointed as the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and will be managing the election process. While the SRC Election Regulations will apply, it is an online process, and specific clauses will be inferred or waived to accommodate this process.
The election period is scheduled to be completed by the 24th of March 2022 as per the Council’s resolution. According to the current schedule, the nomination of candidates will open on the 28th of February at 08h30 and close on the 04th of March at 16h00.
