Dear Campus Community,
The University has established a Vaccination Exemption Committee (VEC) as referred to in Section 11 of the Interim COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for UWC. The policy makes it mandatory to be vaccinated if you require access to University property and events.
Staff, students, service providers, or visitors who are not vaccinated and require access to campus must apply to the Vaccination Exemption Committee to be considered for exemption. They should set out, in detail, the nature and reasons for their application for exemption from the policy.
The grounds for exemption can be found under Section 12 of the policy and are as follows:

Applications for exemption will be evaluated by the VEC from 10 January 2022. All queries can be directed to vaccinationexemptions@uwc.ac.za.
