Are you interested in performing South African Jazz? Like the sounds of Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Hugh Masekela, Robbie Jansen, Judith Sephuma.
Participation in this project includes improvisation, understanding jazz harmonies and basic reading skills.
The UWC Jazz Band welcomes students, staff, and anyone from the surrounding areas to audition for the ensemble. We have available spots for vocalists and all instrumentalists.
For the audition, please submit a video or audio clip performing two tunes of your choice, no longer than two minutes, to be sent to the contact information below. Also provide a short paragraph about yourself with a brief history relating to your music education and/or performing experience when sending the video/audio recording.
