The UWC Law Faculty is deeply saddened by the passing of Millicent Mabengeza (known to the staff and students as Ms Millie), who served as an assistant office administrator at the Law Clinic for the past 26 years.
Ms Mabengeza passed away at the age of 58 in the early hours of this morning due to health complications.
Ms Mabengeza is fondly remembered by all her colleagues and friends as a quiet and hardworking woman. She was always respectful and maintained a private and dignified demeanour and focused on her job.
Ms Acama Brett said that she will remember Ms Mabengeza as an honest person who told you exactly what was on her mind but never judged people.
The Faculty of Law extends its sincere condolences to the Mabengeza family, her daughter and two grandchildren.
