The Centre for Humanities Research (CHR) at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) is hosting the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem and Israel.
The UN team is undertaking a mission to South Africa from 29 January until 9 February 2023 and is led by the Chair of the Commission, Judge Navanethem (Navi) Pillay and Commissioner Chris Sidoti.
The Commissioners will travel to Durban, Pretoria and Johannesburg. On Thursday, 8 February, the CHR will be hosting Commissioners Pillay and Sidoti for a public discussion at the CHR’s Iyatsiba Lab at UWC’s Greatmore Campus in Woodstock.
