There are various areas around the campus where you can put up your notices helpful to fellow students. For example: Looking for a lift club? Text books for sale? No need for special permission.

Student Development and Support (SDS) adopts a holistic approach to student development in order to proactively optimise the learning and teaching environment and quality of student life in several ways, namely, financial aid, residence, health, sport, co-curricular and other student project

  • Did you know? The soap character Errol from Sewendelaan, Christo Davids, has completed his undergrad law degree at UWC.
  • Four of our female students developed an app to keep girls safe on campus and was featured on SABC's Hectic Nine 9
  • Our campus has a olympic size swimming pool. It is where Olympic gold medalist, Natalie du Toit spent hours training for Olympic events.
  • UWC’s ladies beach volleyball team literally kicks sand in the eyes of worthy competitors nationally. The ladies beach volleyball team’s been the national champs four times in a row.
  • Pardon the pun, but UWC students rock when it comes to geoscience. In 2014 and 2015 the UWC team won the African leg of the Imperial Barrel Awards. It’s a evaluation competition where graduate geoscience teams from universities around the world compete to win scholarship funds towards postgraduate geoscience development at their universities.
  • Did you know? The burnt vegetation at the main entrance of your campus was caused by sparks from New Year’s Eve fireworks. The UWC Cape Flats Nature Reserve’s admin buildings (to the right of the main entrance) were saved from certain destruction.
