The call is open to participate in the 3rd Edition of the VAA-VIDEO ART AWARDS promoted by the Centro Di Sarro with the Italian Cultural Institute of Pretoria and the Grenze Arsenali Photographic Festival of Verona. 

It is an opportunity to encourage arts production of moving images by identifying and rewarding innovative artworks produced by emerging artists from South Africa and Italy. The original video artworks must have been produced in the last three years.

Application deadline: 15 March 2022

• The artworks of the first five finalists of both countries will be showcased in a collective exhibition that will be hosted in South Africa and in Italy in 2022.
• The winner among the Italian finalists will be awarded with a prize consisting of a trip to South Africa that includes a 6-night stay in the country to attend the award ceremony.
• The winner among the South African finalists will be awarded with a prize consisting of a trip to Italy that includes a 6-night stay in the country to aLend the award ceremony.
