Prof. Katharina de la Durantaye - Humboldt Universityis Professor of Private Law and Law of the Digital Transformation at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Her research focuses on IP, especially on copyright law, and on the regulation of the digital economy, including platform and AI regulation. Before becoming a professor in Germany, she held (visiting) professorships at Boston University School of Law, Columbia Law School and St. John’s University School of Law. She is a board member of the German Association of Comparative Law.
Prof. Gerhard Wagner - Humboldt University
is Professor of Private Law, Business Law, and Economic Analysis of Law at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The focus of his research is on the law of extra contractual liability. During his career, he has been visiting University College London (2003), the University of Chicago Law School (academic year 2010-2011), New York University School of Law (2018), and Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris (professeur invité in 2024). He is a member of the European Group on Tort Law, of the European Law Institute, of the American Law Institute’s working group on “Civil Liability for AI”, and an External Academic Member of the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg.
