Jeff Hearn has worked on organisations, social policy and inequality for 40 years. His extensive research on gender relations in UK, Nordic region and Europe, but also South Africa, includes lead position in international projects, such as The role of Men in Gender Equality, and such books as European Perspectives on Men and Massachusetts and masculinity around the world.

He is professor of Humanities & Social Sciences (Gender Equity), Orebro University, Sweden; Professor of Management and Organisation, Hanken School of Economics, Finland. Professor of Sociology, University of Huddersfield, UK; Academician in Social Sciences. He is co-managing editor of Routledge Advances in Feminist Studies and Intersectionality; co-editor of NORMA: International Journal of Masculinity Studies; Associate editor of Gender, Work and Organisation.

His many books including “Sex at Work”; Men in Public Eye; The Violences of Men; Sex, violence and the Body; recently Rethinking Transnational  Men. Current research is on men, gender and transnationalisation.
