To engage in a meaningful way with this national initiative, we bring this discussion to our researchers.
At UWC, when speaking about “research impact”, we also encourage research to be “sustainable”. What do these terms mean and how do we define these terms across disciplines? Should “research impact” be defined (only) in terms of ‘academic impact’ and ‘societal impact’? Equally important, what is meant by “research sustainability”?
The programme will include a presentation from the NRF, Director: Centres of Excellence in the Research Chairs and Centres of Excellence, Mr Nathan Sassman. Also, engage with three UWC speakers, from different disciplines, as we explore this topic.
This Webinar is hosted by DVC: Research & Innovation, Prof. José Frantz.
